Just a brief word: Perhaps you have sometimes wondered whether, despite your best efforts to brush out your coffee grinder, you are experiencing an unwelcome whiff of cumin in your morning coffee? If so, you may be considering buying a second little coffee grinder to act solely as a spice mill. I did, and I'm pretty happy about it. I am really pleased with my choice, this particular coffee/spice grinder, which is, in my view, especially well suited to the task. Since I brought this little darling into my home, not only has my coffee normalized, but there are no lingering traces of yesterday's spices in today's spices. This is because the grinder chamber is stainless steel, removeable and washable! Soakable even, should some real mishap occur.
It was $29.99, which is not too bad, since the similar , but unwashable one piece grinders are only ten dollars less. I couldn't find another low priced coffee/spice grinder with this loveable feature. So I just thought I'd say so, in case someone is looking.
Thanks, Lindy. What a useful tip. Do you think it is powerful enough to do nuts? I usually use my blender for nuts but the blender is hard to clean.

Annie- I'm not so sure about the nuts. I usually do them in the food processor. I bet it would be okay for just a few small ones, but I'd be nervous about more than a few. Or even a few, if they were say, Brazil nuts. On the other hand, a coffee bean is sort of like a nut, really. I guess, um, I don't really know.

It is OK for nuts. I've tried.
