I do realize that it has been quite a while since I've posted. Basically, I'm was having a bit of a break. Then, a few tummy problems happened- causing not-so-surprising lack of interest in food. (Anyone want a recipe for boiled white rice and mashed bananas?) Feeling quite a bit better, but looking to catch up in other areas, too. See you soon.
Sorry you've been unwell! Stomach woes are nasty. Get well soon.

Ginger tea and slices of ginger in the boiled white rice; works for me. Take care.

Sorry to hear you've been under the weather (there's nothing worse than not being able to eat!) but glad you're on the mend. Thanks for the update. I was starting to wonder - and worry. : )

Yikes, not pleasant. I'm glad things are getting better; I was worried too!

Glad you're feeling better! I've been missing my Toast fix!

I think you've hit a winner there, Lindy. The clue is in Lynn D's comment. Nobody would want a recipe for boiled white rice and mashed bananas, but how about inviting readers to submit recipes suitable for people who are unwell? There must be loads of food "remedies" out there.

Thanks for the good wishes all. Trig- Lynn D's recommendation was also offered by the redfox, and it is a good one.
I'm actually planning to post a bit soon about my careful eating in an effort to avoiding relapse. Other folks favorite remedies/recipes would be most welcome, too. I do believe I've got a post on the hot toddy somewhere in the archives, of possible interest the cold sufferer.

Not on the subject.
However, I am thrilled to have found this page.
Was looking for some Hamentaschen(sp)in the Pittsburgh area and
tripped upon this pleasant experience.
Thanks so much and I look forward to more!
Hope you are feeling better.

cut up some ginger root and boil it in water--very good for your stomach and blood--(ginger tea)
also if you can get fresh coconut water--the absolute best for the stomach-
hope you are feeling better
